I placed an order with Ascension Peptides myself before writing this, specifically to check their COA process, packaging, and shipping against what they claim on their site. Here's what I found.
The order
I ordered R-10 — Ascension's coded listing for Retatrutide at 10mg per vial (their GLP-1 family products use short codes like R-10/R-30, T-10/T-30, and S-5 rather than spelling out the compound name on the listing itself). It arrived in 4-5 days, which is reasonable for domestic shipping and matches what other reviewers have reported.
Packaging was more than sufficient — nothing rattling loose, adequate insulation for a temperature-sensitive lyophilized product.
Verifying the COA
Ascension publishes a public COA library (checkable at their /lab-tests page) with a batch/lot number on every listing that's
meant to match what's printed on your physical vial. This is the single most important verification step for any research
peptide order, and it's one most buyers skip. I checked mine: the batch number on the vial matched the corresponding COA on
their site, showing third-party HPLC purity data rather than just a marketing purity claim.
If you order from any vendor, this is the check to make before you do anything else with the product — a lot number that doesn't match a real, independent lab report is the biggest red flag in this market.
Customer service
Responsive when I reached out. Nothing dramatic to report here, which — in a category where "vendor goes silent after checkout" is a real and common complaint — is itself worth noting.
Pricing and the discount
Ascension runs an affiliate/partner program, and like most vendors in this space, pre-discount list pricing sits at the higher end of the field — the effective price after a partner code is what actually makes them competitive. What I'd still check before you order
- Confirm the batch number yourself. Don't take my word, or anyone else's, that a vial matches its COA — check the lot number on your own vial against their published library when it arrives.
- Compare per-mg pricing across vial sizes. Larger vials (like R-30 vs. R-10) are almost always the better per-mg value if your research plan calls for the larger quantity anyway.
- Re-check this post's freshness. Vendor standing changes. If it's been a while since the date at the top of this post, treat it as a starting point, not a current guarantee.
Papa's take
One clean order doesn't make a vendor bulletproof — that's why I check the COA rather than just trusting the packaging and a fast shipping label. But everything here lined up: batch number verified, reasonable shipping time, and responsive support. I'll keep ordering periodically and update this post if anything changes.
